01 -  In a large pot, add chicken broth, uncooked pasta, diced chicken, mushrooms, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. 
 02 -  Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally, until pasta is al dente and most liquid is absorbed, about 12 to 15 minutes. 
 03 -  Lower heat and stir in cream cheese until it melts and the sauce is smooth and well combined. 
 04 -  Add spinach and cook for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring, until the leaves are wilted. 
 05 -  Serve immediately. Top with grated Parmesan cheese or fresh herbs if desired.
